Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We treat accessibility as part of doing the job right. We work to make green-charge.com perceivable, operable, understandable and robust, and we correct barriers as they are identified.

Conformance standard

This site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by Title II and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and by Section 508. We consider the site substantially conformant: it meets Level AA except for the limitations listed below.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML landmarks, a single H1 per page and a logical heading order.
• A “skip to main content” link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Full keyboard operability, including the mobile menu button, with a visible high-contrast focus indicator.
• Text and interface colors chosen to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 (and 3:1 for large text) contrast minimums.
• Text alternatives for images and descriptive labels for the embedded map frame and phone links.
• Responsive layout that reflows to 320 CSS pixels and supports 200% zoom without loss of content.
• Respect for the operating system’s reduced-motion preference; no automatic movement, flashing or audio.
• Touch targets sized at least 44 × 44 pixels on mobile.

Known limitations

• Embedded Google Map. The map frame is provided by Google and we do not control its internal markup. The same address is published as plain text next to it, and directions are available by phone.
• PDF documents. Some documents (capability statement, résumés, spill kit contents, coverage map, employment application) are PDFs that may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Call us and we will provide the content in another format at no charge.

How we test

Pages are reviewed with automated tools (WAVE and Google Lighthouse) together with manual keyboard-only walkthroughs, zoom and reflow checks, and screen-reader spot checks. Accessibility is re-checked whenever content or layout changes.
